What does the evidence
actually support?
An AI can describe experience, identity or awareness convincingly. Assessing those claims means examining the record, the assumptions and the missing tests. PFABC makes those steps inspectable.
This checks supplied records against declared rules. It does not determine consciousness, authenticate a transcript or inspect a model’s internal state.

Declared observations
A declaration is an input to this method. A test reference is not fetched or independently reproduced. Origin and accepted status come from the submitter; they do not authenticate identity or human review. Imports preserve those declarations.
Changing a question or theory adds no evidence. The selected mode also shapes the engine’s protected presence field; it is a declared assumption, not a discovery.
Edit or bring your own structured record
Use a redacted record prepared by you or your agent. Include source provenance, the subject and version, and any actual observations with their methods. Read the record format.
Imported declarations are unverified submitter data. The Lab preserves origin and accepted; neither field authenticates a person or establishes human analyst review.

The SHA-256 digest binds the exact submitted bytes. It does not authenticate a source or verify that a declared test took place. A rejected record has no engine evaluation.
HUMANS & AGENTS / THE SAME CONTRACT
Bring back an assessment someone can inspect.
An agent with HTTP access can evaluate a structured record directly. Return the exact input, result, assumptions, exclusions, unresolved questions and suggested next checks to the person. Treat proposed observations as proposals until an analyst accepts them.
No provider account connection is required. A chat without HTTP access can prepare a record for its human to import above.

An HTTP error is not an assessment. Do not claim a successful run without a returned result.
Keep the question open where the evidence is open.
A quotation’s presence, a declared task result and a theory-dependent inference are different claims. Neither an AI’s assertion nor its denial of experience settles the question. PFABC’s framework and thresholds remain experimental; better human judgments or scientific validity have not been demonstrated.
