# Attribution and provenance

PFABC Clarification Lab is licensed under [Apache License 2.0](LICENSE), following
the owner's instruction to reuse ARSENAL's established licensing approach.
[LICENSE_SCOPE.md](LICENSE_SCOPE.md) covers the included original engine and formal
specification as well as the new wrapper, website, tests and documentation.
[NOTICE](NOTICE) contains the project attribution notice; [TRADEMARKS.md](TRADEMARKS.md)
explains the separate project-identity boundary.

This package was prepared from the owner's supplied PFABC website and archive.
No root license was present in those inputs. The Apache grant is the owner's
licensing decision for this successor; it is not inferred from the source hashes.
The unchanged formal specification is identified in `docs/RELEASE_NOTES.md`.

Private historical audits are excluded. Twenty unchanged native engine source
and data files are included with their exact archive provenance in
`native/UPSTREAM.json`. The original supplied files remain preserved separately.
The release contains no bundled third-party package or external media. External
research citations are references, not redistributed publications or license
grants to those publications. Licensing and software checks do not establish
empirical validation or endorsement of the framework.
